software engineer — dallasabout me
Hi, I'm Kass
I'm a Software Engineer, and I love making websites for people that represents who they are and what their business represents.

outside of work
A little about me.
Hi, I'm Kassidy. Besides being a Software Engineer, I travel often with my boyfriend. This past year we've gone on six trips — here are a few photos of where we've been :)

what i offer
What I offer, custom for you.
There's no flat menu price, because no two sites take the same amount of work. We talk first, I look at what you actually need, and then you get one number for the whole project.
Package one
quoted for your project
The straight path from first call to live site — designed, built, launched, and handed over to you.
Package two
quoted for your project
The same build with more room to shape it. You get to sit with the site and come back twice before we call it done.
Something custom
built around you
More pages, more moving parts, or something that doesn't fit neatly into the first two. We set the changes and calls together, starting from package one and growing from there.
the quote
After a first conversation — what the site is for, roughly how many pages, when you'd like it live — I put together one fixed number for the whole project. No hourly billing, no line items appearing later. If the shape of the project changes along the way, we talk about it before anything moves.
a change
A change is a full round of edits on what I've delivered. You sit with the site, gather every note in one place, send it over, and I work through the whole list in one pass. Gathering notes together is what makes a round go far — small fixes and typos along the way don't count against it.
a call
A call is live time with me, around forty-five minutes. Most people spend one at the start to talk through the idea, and save the rest for reviewing the build together. Quick questions in between are always just an email away.
good to know
Changes and calls are set aside for your project while we're building it, so they stay with that project — they don't carry over to a later one, and unused ones aren't refunded. If you find you want more partway through, just say so and we'll add them.
Tell me what you're building.
A few sentences is plenty to start — what your business does, and what you want the site to do for it. I read every one and reply as soon as possible.

This site is run by Kassidy, a freelance web designer and developer based in Dallas, Texas. This page explains what I collect when you visit, why I collect it, and who else touches it. It's short because the site does very little.
What I collect
Only two things.
- What you type into the contact form — your name, email address, business or project name, the option you pick for what you're after, and your message.
- Standard server records — like every website, my host records the IP address, browser type, and time of each request. I don't look at these individually; they exist so the site can be served and kept secure.
That's it. No cookies. No analytics. No tracking pixels, advertising networks, or session recording. I don't build a profile of you, and there's nothing here following you to other sites.
Why I collect it
To reply to you, put together a quote, and work on your project if we go ahead. Nothing else. I don't send marketing emails, and I never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
Who else sees it
A few services make the site work, and your information passes through them:
- Web3Forms — delivers contact form submissions to my inbox.
- Netlify — hosts the site and keeps the server records described above.
- Microsoft Outlook — where your message lands and stays.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces on this site, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Each of these has its own privacy policy governing what they do with data. I'd also share information if the law required it — a court order, for example — but that has never happened.
How long I keep it
Contact form messages stay in my email. Project files and correspondence stay for as long as I might need them for the work, and generally a while after in case you come back. If you'd rather I didn't keep yours, just ask and I'll delete it.
Seeing, changing, or deleting what I have
Email me at Kassidy.web@outlook.com and I'll tell you exactly what I have about you, correct anything that's wrong, or delete it. No forms to fill in and no charge — it's a small operation and I'll just go look.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. This site doesn't track you across websites in the first place, so there's nothing here for that signal to switch off. I don't allow third parties to collect information about your browsing across other sites either.
California residents
California's "Shine the Light" law lets residents ask which personal information a business has shared with third parties for their own direct marketing. I don't share anything for that purpose, so there's nothing to disclose — but you're welcome to ask.
Children
This site is for people hiring a web designer, and isn't directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent me something, email me and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If I change how any of this works, I'll update this page and change the date at the top. If it's a meaningful change — a new service handling your data, say — I'll note what changed here rather than quietly swapping the text.
